[X Newbies] Removing Apps?

i installed jaguar on the same hard drive that already had os 9.2 on it. 
i had two system folders: os 9's called "System Folder" and os x's 
called "System".  after a successful install, i made some uncorrectable 
changes in os x. the way i fixed it was to drag "System" to the trash 
and then to reinstall.
now i change the startup disk when i need an os 9 app or when i need to 
print. i can't find an os x driver for my hp870cxi.
