If this weren't specifically a "newbie" list, I probably would have 
interpreted it the same way. But since it is for newcomers, I thought 
it would be a good idea to make sure the OP understood that a beige G3 
is a "modern" computer only in the sense that a cassette tape is a 
"modern" way of making music compilations.

If I misinterpreted and caused any offense, it was unintentional. In 
any event, I stand by the advice I gave.
