Embedded Attachments

I am using Mail in OS 10.2.4 and receive faxes through jfax as TIFF 
files.  The first page of each of these attachments seems to be 
embedded in the email message, so that only the second and subsequent 
pages will print.  Page one will not print although I can read it on 
the screen when I open the attachment.  Same thing happens when I print 
or save as PDF.  Using Brother HL-1450 laser printer with updated 
drivers.  Any ideas?
