[X Newbies] TCP/IP broken in Classic

Jeff, I think you cannot connect from Classic.  You must connect either 
from OS 9.2.2 or OS X.  I wonder if there were more free updates to OS 
10.1 which you might look into also.  With OS10, I found if I had to 
use Classic to connect to internet or print, I was better off rebooting 
into OS 9.2.2.  If you are booted into OS 9, can you startup into OS X? 
  I am puzzled why the OS 9 startup disk does not work.  I think your 
last paragraph might be the solution.
