Many people intentionally place OS 9 on a different partition both to boot into when needed and to use for Classic. I have one system that even has the copy of OS 9 it uses for Classic on a different drive. Is this a new limitation on the new Macs that don't boot 9? If it is, I'll have to be sure to file that bit of info somewhere in my brain. -Mike
