Appleworks problem

The file size is small (9-23k) in the various formats i attempted. I 
tried to send it with the .doc suffix but it also kept inserting 
.rtf, which still shouldn't be a problem. Even though it's being sent 
to a windows-based platform the inability to send must be a problem 
at our end. Stephen
