However, Word and Excel Mac are susceptible to macro viruses (which are not specifically PC viruses). A first line of defence is to leave the "Macro Virus Protection" option on in Preferences. If you work in an environment where you frequently exchange Office documents with PC users, you should invest in an antivirus tool and keep it updated. f
