[X Newbies] OT? Cable modem recommendation

I just got a brand new Motorolla Surfboard SB5100 from the Cable Co.  I got
a deal from them to buy it, otherwise they charge $5 per month.  I had an
Erikson that worked well for about 1 12 yrs, but just gave up the ghost.
