This question comes up routinely, and I should start making a list of all 
of the things that can cause it.

Check to see that you don't have your Mac set to check with a time server 
over the Internet to syncronize the time with.

Ditto for any fax software that you have on a schedule.

Ditto for Software Update.

I'm sure that there are others that I am forgetting.
