Hi Fredrik! Please don't take this as "flip" or dismissive: it's time for you to buy a new scanner. I hobbled along for a long time with an old UMAX scanner that I somehow made work using a German version of VistaScan and Photoshop 4 in Classic. For two years now it was the ONLY thing apart from one game that I needed Classic for. Finally I got fed up, hunted around and found a vastly better-quality scanner for $40. Why on earth did I wait so long? UMAX was the single most UN-friendly Mac developer I ever ran across. They were OPENLY hostile to OS X and basically forced their programmers to stop work on any OS X-compatible drivers, while refusing to write new ones for their new models. They have, the same as EVERY company that abandons the Mac in favour of so-called "greener pastures," withered away to nothing (they were the #1 consumer scanner company for a long time). Good riddance to bad rubbish. _Chas_ FL-MUG: central Florida's Macintosh User Group. Meetings: second Thursday of the month, 6-9pm, at the Orlando Science Center. http://www.flmug.org
