Thanks Al. I am going dizzy from reading! Was rather hoping to find  
someone who had actually done exactly this (not necessarilly the 7300  
Mac). I read and see but actually doing it is a different matter! A  
crossover cable and 2 Macs should be simple.

The problem is usually that what one reads does not quite accord to  
what one is seeing and able to do, hence the usefulness of contacting  
someone who might have actually succeeded!
