[X-Newbies] SATA Drives

Hi all,

Can someone confirm that the SATA drives used in Macs are identical to
those found in PCs?  The reason I ask is that my local Mac dealer wants
£150UK for a 160Gb Seagate.  A similar drive from a PC dealer retails
for £65UK which is less than half the price - the only apparent
difference being the model number, although event that appears to be the
same series.   They may well be OEM drives rather than retail ones but
I'm pretty sure they should work fine in a Mac.

Thought I'd ask in case there are any 'gotchas'.
