[X-Newbies] Tiger's Smart Folders

Any good sources on the web for Smart Folder sample scripts?

A friend explained a little about Smart Folders last night. Could it  
automatically save a list of all files created in a selected  
directory that day? I understand that it can be programmed to create  
such a folder, but can it be saved permanently and automatically with  
that day's date?

Working in After Effects on jobs, I often create new AE projects, PS  
images, and rendered movies in sub-folders of a main job folder. If a  
summary folder could be created every night (or first thing the next  
morning as the computer wakes up) of each days work, it would help in  
knowing what project created what movie, etc.

So far the info on Apple's site seems a little sketchy on scripting.  
Could be my sketchy little mind.
