[X-Newbies] Safari 2.0.1 Comments

Since installing the update I find that Safari has become very 
unstable.  Noticeably slower than 2.0 and Firefox runs circles around 
it.  It crashes 3-4 times a day. A restart works but occasionally it 
loses preferences and settings.  Bookmarks are ok. No changes in 3rd 
party software. Cache empty.  Using Tiger 10.4.2.
Has anyone experienced this and, perhaps, a solution.
