My WallyII 266Mhz w/ 512Mb RAM runs both Jag and OS9.22 quite
nicely with X on it's own 7.8Gb partition and with OS9 on it's
own and separate 3Gb, with the rest of the 20Gb HD used as a
scratch/download/iTunes/iPhoto Lib. holder. Do note; while
I've chosen to stop here and not go on to Panther, as other
Listas have pointed out XPF is a doable, and I've read that
it can often even help with the screen artifacts problem,
but I was able to cure that with using the ATI parts from
the X.2.6 updater(by saving them) before going up to X.2.8
(and then replacing the new with the old saved ones in the
end, by a c-key boot off the install CD). Brian do keep Us
posted on your bargain purchased nice Wally and Goodluck.

My 14" Wally won't be winning any roadwarrior benchmark races
surely, but otherwise runs just fine and at a speed that I'm
comfortable with. Now, only if some kind Lista could Please
tell me how to get Classic up and running?, as when, I try
to start it from System Preferances with my selecting and
pointing at my 2nd. partition(only 1 with OS9.22 installed)
on it, the UI begins but with no progress ever seen, even
with waiting overnight and even though I do boot from both
partitions, I've absolutely no clue, and don't believe
I was ever given an option to install Classic when I did
load OSX.2 on there, so is there a way to do it now?, or
extract Classic parts from the install disks by using
Pacifist then hand installing?, or what? Any and All
help, advice, suggestions will be appreciated and very
much welcomed. TIA

Respectful of GURUs
