Thanks guys. I have now figured out how to write a plain text message
in Gmail. I don't mind reducing the message, as long as it is logical,
but it is typical that in a panic situation (like the one that I am
still in), when you are having to write e-mails in an unfamiliar
program or method, it shouldn't be necessary to have to worry about
how small the posting is - particularly because panic/rescue e-mails
are often information packed.

I have never before come across another list (except the ones that
have the same owner as this one) that limits e-mail size. The
macintoshguy lists used to be vibrant and active, but now there is
hardly anyone that posts.
