[X-Newbies] BBC NEWS | Technology | Apple pushes anti-virus for Macs

I once brought my 7600 to the shop for a warranty fix and they used  
an external HD that had a virus on it that erased programs which  
showed up as soon as I took it home and clicked on a few. I kept  
losing my desktop accessories in OS 8.1.

Around 1996 I think.
