[X-Newbies] Saving as PDF

Ok...I have a Word doc that I want to change to a PDF.

It is text with a yellow background.

But when I saved as PDF, the yellow wouldn't show.. even though I  
have set the 'printer' on color.

What am I doing wrong?

I have resaved the doc again and again... but no soap.

It's called a "yellow sheet" and though it's not critical, I thought  
it might make more of an impact if the file that was sent to the  
print house to make the flyer that was sent by mail, was actually  
yellow online too.
