[X-Unix] CL Usenet and email

Any recommendations for Usenet and email using the Terminal under OSX
Panther?

It will be much easier for me to remotely access and use my Macs with CL
programs for certain tasks. Plus, I admit a odd fondness for the CL way
of working. I've definitely come to appreciate the power of scripting in
Unix.
