However, I can't get that stuff to compile =/
I guess that somehow, I need to stick to my PCMCIA orinico gold for my 
casual wardriving needs.

I'd also like to tip my hat to the guy who writes KisMAC. Not only is it 
awesome, but the build system is utterly complicated.
