Locked Out!

Somehow, I got locked out of a few of my own drives on my main machine. I
have several partitions of several drives on my main computer in Panther
10.3.2

first I had a few folders that had the red minus sign on them ... In an
attempt to clean them and other things up ... I got info on the partition -
then went to ownership and permissions and then said : read and write
permission - then unchecked ignore ownership on this volume - which had been
checked on a few drives for some reason... And apply to enclosed items...

! now - I am locked out of a few of my drives/partitions entirely! Now -
when I get info on the drives/partitions that have this problem - all the
permissions are grayed out!!!

HELP - is there a way that I can get this information back? Is there a way I
can restore the permissions? -

- I have always had the same user name/password on this computer...

- can I log in as root owner and fix things that way? If so ... How do I do
this?

- I Do have the ability to boot up in system 9.2.2 - and also I have a
backup of Panther 10.3.2 On another drive - if that helps ...

! please let me know !
