Apple Monitors....

<RANT>
Anyone have any idea why on earth Apple won't sell Applecare on a 
Cinema Monitor unless you buy it with a system!?!?!?  I was at the 
Applestore last night, planning on buying a 20" monitor until I found 
out that it only has a *1* Year warranty and they won't let you put 
Applecare on it!  There is no way I'm spending $1300 on a monitor 
that only has a *1* Year Warranty!!!

At the same time I can go out and buy a cheap LCD that in all honesty 
will do all I need for less, and even the cheap ones look to 
typically have a three year warranty!

I am looking at getting an LCD to use alongside my ViewSonic P815 so 
I don't have to have the ViewSonic turned on in the hot weather. 
It's been so hot around here the past few days that for a couple days 
I wasn't able to use my G5 due to the heat the monitor generates.
