I have used Finder's Go, Connect to Server feature to connect to an ftp server. The site is my own and I have access with a user name and password to make changes. I can understand Apple's reluctance to allow me to up load or remove files even though I use a password to connect. But if I make changes through another channel, like ssh or curl, how can I persuade Finder to update its listing as it appears in its window? Even a Finder Get Info request gives me old data for a file that I have actually deleted. (On a local disk it will at least update the size of the file.) Closing the finder window and double clicking the "disk" icon on the desktop re-displays the obsolete data. "Ejecting" the disk and reconnecting with the Connect To Server menu item does the right thing but what a pain. . . -- --> There are 10 kinds of people: those who understand binary, and those who don't <--
