I'm told (but can't personally verify) that the best microphone for voice 
recognition (which requires as clean input as possible) is:

The VXI TalkPro Xpress combined with the Andrea USB sound pod. When you 
connect the VXI to the Andrea USB pod you get a USB headset. See these at:

For less rigorous use, for my personal use I have the MacSense iParrot
