It is not kept in a place that is user-accessible by any of OS X's built-in
applications. There are third-party programs that can do this, however. I
use RCDefaultApp by Carl Lindberg. Check http://www.versiontracker.com for
that or others.

This is one of those annoying problems of OS X that is political in nature
instead of technical.
