Yes depending that the iMac you have. If it is just not the first one made. Check Star Band a long time player and a new upstart Wild Blue. While I have not used the the phone service, higher fees, it is possible to use Star Band direct to the mac as long as you use the 481 modem or 484 modem. In the past, with the older 360 modem it did take a PC to Mac connection. The 481 and 484 took that away. Speeds differ plans I pay 70 bucks a month and get downloads reaching 1 MB or more a minute. The problem is latency, it has to hit the bird down to Starband and back to the modem in the sky and back too your dish.
