You could try and drag the network drive icon to the startup items in the
accounts preferences and see if that works. I dragged my windows network
drive to the dock and can open it simply by clicking on it there. I assume
dragging it to startup items would do the same.

I want to have my network drives connected when I start up osx at the moment
I have to do it manually using connect to server. What is the best method of
doing this ?
