I guess the SE must have been the same.  I had one and I usually just did
very light text editing in it which was fine.  on the other hand, I tried to
log into Compuserve at least a dozen times and I could hear the drive start
to spin and after a few minutes it would always give me a system bomb.  I
guessed it was a heat issue.
