[X4U] Slow Finder on Second Hard Drive

Hi everyone,

I put a second 200 gig HD Maxtor 16MB cache in my dual G5 works fine except
for when I double click it to open it often takes 5 sec or more before the
Finder opens it giving me the beachball. The original drive that came with
the machine takes no time at all to open. Same thing when I¹m opening
documents it takes quite a few seconds before the drive contents show up in
the open dialog box. Otherwise the drive seems to be performing fine. Why
would this slow to open be happening?
