A USB hub does not need any files to operate. And you don't remember installing any, do you? There is certainly nothing that was magically downloaded from the hub to your computer. The best I can imagine is that some setting got corrupt in the process. Did you run Activity Monitor to watch the process list for CPU usage? Björn
