Both audio hijack and wiretap will rip the decoded audio stream, so  
you will lose data quality if you apply another lossy codec  
afterwards (e. g. MP3 or AAC).

If that is important to you to get the original encoding preserved,  
you can try MacTheRipper to rip the multiplexed audio/video stream  
and then try a demuxer. MPEG StreamClip offers that functionality.  
There is probably also some freeware around.
