How do the RAM needs between the PPC and Intel based Mac's compare?
I've not played with an Intel based Mac enough yet to have any feel
for how much RAM it needs. I simply went ahead and maxed out the RAM
at 2GB in the MacBook when we purchased it last weekend.
Just so long as the memory requirements aren't like the change from
VAX to Alpha under VMS, where 4x increase in needed RAM would be a
good rough number. It's been long enough I don't remember how they
changed from 68k to PPC on the Mac. Though I do remember my
PowerBook 520c had a very tight 20Mb and my PowerMac 8500/180 started
out with 32Mb and was quickly upgraded to 160Mb.
