thanks daly.

i done a little more research in the mean time, i'll probably be  
getting a 7200rpm 16 or 32mb cache.

i haven't been able to come across a good upgrade guide though. my  
usual source, ifixit.com (i've upgraded countless ibooks and  
powerbooks with their guides) doesn't do imacs…
