[X4U] Advice sought on a Mac book for an elderly beginner-level user.

hmm...to me it sounds like they'd be better off with some hands-on 
help..
maybe the how-to/missing manual type of book provides help in not the 
form they need?

and maybe they'd get the most mileage out of being SHOWN how to do some 
of these things?
