I gave Mavericks and day and 2 fresh installs, and it was slow straightaway. not sure how long the spotlight business takes but Mt. Lion seems production-ready virtually right away. YMMV? thanks, cat On Dec 10, 2013, at 12:21 AM, Christopher Jones <jonesc at hep.phy.cam.ac.uk> wrote: > Hi, > >>> performed great under Mt. Don’t base the speed of a new OSX on your system immediately after a major OS upgrade, as it will have various housekeeping tasks to perform, that might well make it sluggish for a while. Give it a little time to settle down.
