10.2.4 borked my modem

Hi all,

Got one of the new iBooks, the 800 MHz version.  Well, I did a stupid 
thing and installed 10.2.4 via the software update last night, and 
now my modem connects, but none of my Internet apps work-they all do 
not see the internet.  No Mail via Eudora, no Internet via any of the 
browsers.  Under 9.2.2, I am writing this.

Any guidance appreciated.
