[P1] Free/cheap modem internet access on road?

I use Sprint, which has free long distance as do most other providers 
now, so I can dial my home dialup number using my cell phone and 
collect my email. Surfing is a bit slow at 9K since I haven't upgraded 
to the new stuff. I also have an i300 Samsung and can down load my 
email to it as one can to various other phone/pda combos.
