Unwanted Pop-up Box

Dear List --
     There's a box which keeps appearing (for no reason) on
my desktop (clamshell 466 .OS 9.2.2).  It reads:

     "To run this application you need an internet
connection.  Please connect to your online service.  To
connect through a LAN  ...  etc."

I'd like to eliminate this alert box altogether, but can't
find it.  Is it an extension?  Thanks for any suggestions.
