iBook screen latch not working

I feel like this might have been discussed before, but I don't remember exactly
what was said.  Could someone tell me if there is an easy way to fix the latch
on my icebook 600?  It seems to swing down fine, when I'm about 1/4 from
closing it, but it won't latch for some reason.  I have applecare, so I can get
it fixed in that route if I have to, but I was wondering if there was a simple
way to fix it.

Also, is there a way to search archives of these emails online, so I won't have
to bother asking the same questions others have?
