Hello,
	I have a neat little utility called x-charge and it can monitor the 
charge of your battery.  I was also told by a computer teacher that in 
regards to battery life, the old nicad batteries could be drained to 
the end and then given a full recharge but the lithium batteries should 
only go down about 20% or so, then a full charge and charged as often 
as you wanted.  That's all I have to offer on this battery thing.
