OT: Booting in OS 9

Off Topic kinda.

does anyone know if the new G5s can boot in OS 9? I know that it was 
going to be the end of the line for 9, but I also heard that Apple 
was reconsidering because of heat from the pro users who have refused 
to upgrade to Quark 6.

I run Quark in Classic mode on my G4 desktop and also on my iceBook. 
Any reason to suspect it would be a problem on a new G5 with Panther?
