[iBook] Hello, I am new to the list.

Welcome to the world of the iBook. I'm sure there are a lot of issues 
out there that might make the iBook a little less than perfect. Some 
I've come across are:

Superficially, the smooth white shell is a little too easy to scratch, 
so I hope you got one that's pristine.
My brother bought a display iBook 600MHz 14" that has THAT keyboard. For 
a group of those iBooks, Apple used a plastic or an adhesive that, well, 
reeked especially when it was heated (say from the heat of just everyday 
usage). If you haven't noticed by now, the problem isn't a problem for 
you.
The battery does always sit entirely flush with the housing.

Otherwise it's a rock-solid machine. And I am the proud owner of three 
along the iBook line, and each one keeps getting better and better. 
Enjoy your iBook, and repair your permissions every so often. :-)
