[iBook] iBook screen fault - oh no!

Be aware, however, that Macfixit has had an entire series of pages
devoted to this exact problem, where there is an apparent software
problem affecting the backlight, rather than a pinched cable.

People could see that by resetting the PMU or VRAM, and/or restarting
the machine without touuching the screen, that the light would come
back on.

Please see

http://www.macfixit.com/search.php?
query=backlight&mode=search&type=stories&keyType=all&platform=Mac+OSX

unfortunately, you have to have a Macfixit subscription to see all the
text.
