[iBook] what are known problems with iceBooks?

You may want to stay away from certain models. I had my G3/700 12" 
iBook's motherboard replaced by Apple.
I suggest you find out the serial number before you bid, and see if it 
was included in Apple's recall program.
Other than the motherboard, my almost two years old iBook is working 
fine.
