Sounds like your PRAM battery needs changing.

Subject: [iBook] kernel panic
History of things to ibook:
It has worked exceedingly well... Then 2 days ago when I turned on the
computer the date was set back to the 1969 date.
Every so often I do a fsck -yf... And almost monthly do a repair disk ....
Both have seemed to keep the dual usb ibook in great shape.
But I plugged in ibook, downloaded email.and all of sudden..
I get this (now I am told a kernel panic" message.. You must restart your
machine.... And it is in English, German, French, and Japanese followed by
several FF FF FF FF FF
I understand that I will need to use my original disk..which I don't have
with me to
Is there anythng else
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106227 is the message I get
I have run fsck.... Again.and there are still problems mentioned..
Will a reinstall.. Solve this..?
What do U think started it?
I have an airport card
I have Apple memory..but both were purchased and installed 2 years ago.
Thanks
