. . . those nice folks at the Apple UK store registered me anyway. Not sure exactly how far out I was from the one-year anniversary. It may have been as much as two weeks! I was pleased they didn't hassle me about it. I rang them before attempting to register and they gave me a "case number". When the registration went south, I rang and they sorted it out pronto. I wouldn't have minded the £200 refund, however. All the same, I was pleased.
