I can access the server and files from the finder.

No.

Ethernet 100 baseT

The shared folder is in the root directory of the boot drive. All 3
permissions are set to read/write

Everyone has the same problem.

Let me add that when I select a second, or third etc. song that it asks
if I want to locate it and I say yes but I can no longer select the
share point because it's already mounted and is dimmed. I then select
cancel and the song plays!!!!
Everything worked fine under 10.3.2 and then I did all those security
updates and 10.3.3 update and it broke. My wife also went out and
bought iLife and updated all those programs and no joy.
I'm melting, melting, What a world, What a world!
