[iTunes] problem fixed - sort of

finally (third try) was able to download an executable version of iTunes, and re-install it. It came up with all my music and podcasts ... happy, happy, happy!

where the sync problem seems to be coming in is that it can't sync or update my photos on my iPod. That's not a big problem, I just had kid pics on it, didn't really use it much. It's still annoying that I get an "unknown sync error" when it tries to update the photos, however.

any suggestions what could help?
