probably not, but rather, i think the isub likes to be attached to the 
cube itself, and not a usb hub.  there's latency in usb audio, and even 
though the isub is self powered, i can imagine that the problems you 
are experiencing are due to usb audio deficiencies.

even if it's inconvenient for you to do so, do a trial with the isub 
connected to one of the usb ports on the underside of the cube and try 
doing all of the things that you mentioned in your email where things 
went wrong.
