[CUBE] a kind of relay from cube plug ins?

Those would be called hubs. You can get a USB hub, a firewire hub (or a
combo hub that includes both), and if you need the modem port handy as well,
just get a phone line extension cable (male on one end to plug into the cube
and female port on other end)
